Coral's new album "Leopard Songs" Listen Party @ Hemmi & Valdi - Free single "The Underwhelmer"

Rock band Coral have been playing together since 2000, effectively starting their career in 2002 with the release of their nameless low budget EP commonly referred to as “the Yellow Album” by listeners. Since then Coral have unleashed their raw brand of rock and roll on unsuspecting audiences in over hundreds of live shows, experimenting with classical, jazz and rock influences within a rock-quartet format.
In 2007 the band released “The Perpetual Motion Picture” their first full-length album. Recorded @ Bedroom Community’s Greenhouse Studios, the band worked with numerous guest artists, such as legendary Icelandic bass player/composer Tómas R. Einarsson and American composer/arranger Nico Muhly (Björk, Jónsi, Mew).

Coral releases a new album "Leopard Songs" this month on Record Records Label.

Tomorrow you can go & listen to the new album
@ Hemmi & Valdi venue (@ Laugavegur, Reykjavik) @ 22:00.
The album contains nine songs, all meditations on the animalistic nature of man, recorded in a natural and dynamic way that calls Steve Albini’s engineering to mind. Furthermore, the album thoroughly denounces the so called “Loudness war,” where the natural dynamics of the music are destroyed by overcompression in order to make it louder and commodify it, in effect stealing the volume knob from the listener.
Here's the first single of this new album: "The Underwhelmer".
