Winner of the Músíktilraunir 2011 Competition (Musical Experiments, sort of Battle of the Bands) was the band Samaris. One of the 3 band members is Jófríður, of the twin duo Pascal Pinon.
Samaris were founded last January by Jófríður Ákadóttir, Þórður Steinþórsson & Áslaug Magnúsdóttir. They play dreamy triphop influenced by The Knife, Portishead and Massive Attack.
